EFESME (European Federation for Elevator Small and Medium Sized-Enterprises) is the European SMEs voice in the lift industry, representing and defending at EU level the interests of SMEs operating in the lifts business.

EFESME was created in April 2005 and now counts 15 associations representing 14 EU Member States.

EFESME intends to provide European Institutions with technical and informative support, offering a clear and comprehensive view about the manufacturing systems of lifts; it wishes to be actively involved in all technical and normative issues which affect SMEs and their competitive position in the market.

The successful candidate will have the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Monitoring relevant EU policies
  • Managing Members relationships
  • Managing a EU-funded project
  • Organising events and seminars
  • Secretariat and administrative support
  • Running the communication tools of the Federation

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • University degree in European affairs or economy or engineering
  • Italian mother-tongue or excellent command of the language, fluency in English and French, additional language skills (German, Spanish) are desired
  • Previous work experience in EU affairs and EU-funded projects
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools
  •  Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

The Advisor will be based in the EFESME office in Brussels. Some travels abroad will be requested.

We offer a one year contract, with possibility of a long-term contract renewal.

The candidate must be able to start working as of the 2nd May, interviews will be held in Brussels on the 26th and 27th April.
